Saturday, all meet at the Millennium Hall at 9:15am for Lochs Road to Birnam. There will also be a BRAW ride for those new or returning to club cycling. This will be around 30 miles with a cafe stop, around the 14mph pace, depending on the group. So if you have been doing some miles on your own and fancy coming along or maybe you’ve not been out as much as you would have liked to and want to make that step to joining a club. The BRAW Ride is aimed at riders new to club cycling or those who simply want to get faster & fitter and meet some other Lycra folk in the process. The BRAW Ride is at the pace of the group and everyone stays together.
Sunday, meet at Camperdown Gates at 9:30am for Auchindorie - Peel Farm (this is a social pace cafe ride at pace of the group, all welcome).
All newcomers are welcome. If you can cycle 40+ miles in 2.5 hours (i.e. 15-16 mph) then you will manage fine on the steady runs, otherwise we suggest trying the beginners run. If you are new to club cycling then please see the FAQ page.
Dundee Wheelers Cycling Club was established in 1971 through a merger of the Dundee Roads and Forfarshire clubs.
Today it is the largest club in the Dundee area and enjoys a reputation for its friendliness and the welcome it gives to riders of all ages and abilities.
Although a number of members race at local and national level, others cycle for purely recreational purposes. All enjoy the unique comradeship that cycling as a group brings.
